Hide your wallets and do it quick, as Zombies for Money are out in full force, celebrating the 20th installment of Trouble & Bass’s Heavy Bass Champions of the World compilation. If you’re not familiar with ZFM, well, they’re simply great. The duo has defined themselves as the premiere ass-shakin’ tropical electro group out there, with both fearlessly raw percussion and heavy bass vibes that have gathered support from monsters like Diplo, Crookers and Tittsworth.
The two-track release opens with Navajo, a tune produced alongside fellow Portuguese producers Drop Top. With hypnotic yet untamed vocal samples and bouncing tribal drums, Navajo paints a picture of native Western culture–one where they also go to sick clubs. Breaking Bad brings even more dancefloor energy with more claps than church on a Sunday and chopped vocals percolating on top ZFM’s synthy landscape.
Finally, for kicks, I’ve added my personal favorite track from Zombies for Money, the “Sticky Version” of Kolkata–a tune that is going to shake your ass into oblivion. Listen, dance and enjoy!
