Germany’s Zedd has been on a roll this year, touring with Deadmau5 and hanging out with Skrillex and Porter Robinson. Now after his last hit Shave It, Zedd has released the new vocal tune Stars Come Out on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak. It runs a bit softer than his usual aggressive complextro bangers and features the vocals of LA’s Heather Bright. With catchy lyrics and bouncy basslines, Zedd’s latest tune reminds me a bit of other big electro house tracks like Take Over Control by Afrojack & Eva Simons.
It’s very common these days to see electro house artists dip into dubstep, and Zedd is no exception. He really lived up to his reputation with his free tune Scorpion Move, which hits ridiculously hard on every drop. The song has a delicious high-pitch melody, and also offers a brief period of peace when a gentle piano presents itself in the breakdown.
