Always keeping himself busy, German genius Zedd and friends grabbed their instruments and revisited a half-dozen monster tracks in a studio session captured in his iTunes Session EP, out today.
Zedd had this to say with the post to Facebook:
A few weeks ago I went to the studio with a few other musicians. Everyone grabbed an instrument and we started PLAYING MUSIC. I’ve re-interpreted half of my album live in one take. Please take a second and check it out…
At this point, we should cease being shockingly impressed by the young prodigy, but when hearing that this was done in a single take, one can’t help but pick their jaw up off the ground.
Multiple-collaborator Matthew Koma is featured on the passionate, introspective versions of Spectrum (of course) and Clarity (for which he was one of the original writers). Stay The Night, already a very piano-driven tune, works extremely well as an acoustic version. Miriam Bryant, who’s worked with Zedd on his remix/cover of her original, Push Play, is also on a rendition of Adele’s Set Fire To The Rain.
Hear a bt of the Stay The Night acoustic version in the video below, listen to all six previews now on iTunes, and pick up your copy here.
