On Tuesday, Yolanda Be Cool, the Australian disco duo that brought us the most overplayed song of 2010, has released a funky new track, Before Midnight. Released on the their own Sweat It Out! label, the single is accompanied by the sensual voice of Arama Mara and has a sound remiscent of the summer pool party atmosphere with its four-to-the-floor beat and modest, playful melody.
To go along with the single are a diverse group of remixes by Laidback Luke, Angger Dimas and Sharam Jey. Laidback Luke’s take on the track is reminiscent of Luke circa 2007; it’s darker, louder, and has the elements of a slammin’ big-room house number. Angger Dimas transformed the track with a gritty bassline, a high-energy synth solo and a crowded drop that’s trademark of the Malaysian producer. Sharam Jey slowed down the song in his interpretation to create a groovy tune with deep, powerful lows and echoing vocals. The original and its set of remixes make for a unique package that is sure to please many dance fans. Make sure to pick up Before Midnight on Beatport today.
