Today I bring you two great remakes of two tracks by the one and only Yeah Yeah Yeahs. One comes from Italy’s Alessio Buso. The other is a stunning mashup of a track I’m sure you’re more than familiar with. The first remix, Rich, samples the hot new genre of moombahton. You might have heard of it recently, as it’s been dubbed in certain circles as the hottest thing since dubstep. Toothless introduced it as “Dutch house doped down to 108-ish BPM with heavy reggaeton influences.” An apt description, as that’s pretty much what producer Dave Nada did to create the new genre.
Alessio Buso has tweaked Rich into a spectacular house/moombahton bootleg. From early on, you’re greeted with a bangin’ Dutch house beat. But right around 1:37 things slow down into that freaky, moombahton-ey goodness.
I’ve also added a sick mashup of Heads Will Roll with Zero 76. The best parts of both songs are kept in tact in this mashup, and combine into an even more epic drop than the original Zero 76. Perfect for all you college DJs out there. It seems like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs almost know all of their stuff is going to be remixed–certainly an indication of how good of a group they are.
