One $5,000 Cocktail, Please

To celebrate five years of being one of Vegas’ top clubbing destinations, the Wynn’s XS nightclub is offering an excessively expensive cocktail called the “Five Star” that will set you back four figures.

Composed of ultra high-end bourbon and cognac, the “Five Star” is basically the most expensive Vieux Carre ever made–Louis XIII Rare Cask 42.6, Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 23-year, Martini Gran Lusso 150th Anniversary Vermouth, D.O.M. Benedictine “Black Monk” 500th Anniversary Edition, Peychaud’s Bitters, Angostura Bitters, garnished with flamed orange oils. Mixmag reports that the big-ticket beverage is named in honor of the Wynn hotel’s rating and will only be available in 2014. We understand that it’s made from some of the most coveted liquids in the alcohol kingdom, but it had better come with a coupon for common sense implants, because at $5,000, it literally costs its weight in gold. For five large, we want our martini mixed between Beyonce’s ass cheeks and chilled with ice from Jupiter’s moons.

While the Five Star is likely to be a popular next-day regret this year in Vegas, we’re glad for XS’ milestone. Now we won’t be at the club wondering who’s worth talking to and who’s not.
