Woo York Takes Us On A Journey Through ‘The Valley Of Songs’
Woo York - The Valley of Songs (Original Mix) [Life and Death]
Woo York - Odyssey (Original Mix) [Life and Death]
Woo York - Distance (Original Mix) [Life and Death]

Berlin-based label Life and Death made quite the impression in 2014 thanks to an onslaught of emotional techno releases, including rising artist Mind Against’s Avalon and Âme’s outstanding Turn Around remix, which landed the #5 spot on our Top 15 Deep & Progressive Tracks of 2014. Now, with its first release of 2015, Life and Death welcomes a new group to its formidable roster–Ukrainian duo Woo York, who are making their label debut with the four-track The Valley of Songs EP.

Opening with the atmospheric and moody title track and culminating in the victorious closer Distance, the EP takes the listener on a cohesive sonic journey through deep layers of emotive techno beats. The aptly named Odyssey continues the voyage, while Black Soul pushes a tenacious and slightly unnerving experience. The EP delivers darkly beautiful vibes and a wide range of emotions from start to finish, and it should serve to put this forward-thing duo on the map.
