Coming off an incredibly busy summer of worldwide touring and massive releases like Back Story and Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, the king of electro returns with his best work yet. Joey Youngman, aka Wolfgang Gartner, released his Love & War EP on Ultra featuring two brand new, heavily sought-after singles–Love & War and Nuke–both of which are righteous in their own way
Love & War, the title track and also the name of his 2012 Fall tour, is a breath of fresh air with its combination of complementary heavy synths, mesmerizing piano work and flawless sound design. This track just screams mainstage at your favorite festival as Wolfgang’s unique style of heavy electro continues to place him at the forefront of the electro genre. Nuke on the other hand, is exactly what the name entails it to be: heavy-handed, explosive, and capable of destroying anything that stands in its path. Reminiscent of one of Wolfgang’s older productions, Space Junk, Nuke gives off a plethora of energy with its ascending siren-like synths and high pitch leads.
