With less than 15 original releases to his name, it’s hard not to be impressed by the quality of tracks coming from young Dutch producer Kriss-One. His first release, a tech house gem titled Parabomb, can be found on Samsobeats (a label collaboration effort between Sidney Samson and Gregor Salto), which is definitely not a bad place to debut.
His recent release Instant Moments is my favorite track put out by the young producer. A lot of the song is defined by the initial buildup for the first drop, which is done flawlessly. Last year, Miami-based SonicC had one of the best buildups in his own original track, Stickin’, which ended up being one of the most popular songs of the year. Kriss-One’s buildup, although not as in your face as the one seen in Stickin’, is still up to par. And the drop? It’s simply a destructive house beat that you can’t deny.
Personally, I love what Kriss-One has done in this track. It may not be as layered or “full” as some of the other top notch releases this year, but I guarantee that dropping this on an unsuspecting dance floor will simply annihilate.
