Calvin Harris provides a decent look at what an aggressive psychedelic trip feels like in his drug-fueled video for Slow Acid.
The video features a silver-coated junkie roaming the city streets and leaving a trail of carnage and chaos in her wake, playing out like a deleted scene from Frank Miller’s Sin City. The track itself finds Harris revisiting his earlier style of blending heavy disco arrangements with dynamic house beats. Slow Acid stays true to its name as Harris gradually drips lethargic bits of synth into the listener’s brain before adding in a burst of blasting sirens and smashing beats.
Slow Acid is the latest from Harris’ anticipated new album Motion, and fans who pre-order the album will receive an instant download of the new track. Motion is out in full Nov. 4 and can be pre-ordered over on iTunes here.
