Vestax, the Japanese music manufacturer best known for their DJ turntables, has officially filed for bankruptcy.
Resident Advisor reports details surrounding the company’s demise via Japanese business news website Teikoku Databank. Following the cessation of all business operation in August, Vestax entered into bankruptcy proceeding on Dec. 5, with liabilities of approximately $7.5 million. Since then, Vestax’ Facebook page and official websites have been taken offline.
Vestax is best known for it’s PMC mixer series, a popular choice amongst hip hop DJs, as well as their all-in-one VCI 100 midi controllers.
