Verboten StageONE Closes Inaugural Season With A Bang
Four Tet - Parallel Jalebi [Text]
Nathan Fake - Sky Was Pink (James Holden Remix) [Border Community]
Solomun - YesNoMaybe [Diynamic]

As the summer breeze winds down in New York City, Verboten teams up with Fixed to deliver the final 2013 installments of the StageONE series with two events that present a monumental roster of the underground’s elite.

Verboten and Fixed showcase some of the very best in tasteful, tantalizing underground music starting on Saturday, September 28 at Cine Magic Riverfront Studios. They kick off the beginning of the end with the curator of electronic body-high music, also known as Four Tet. The man otherwise known as Kieran Hebden recently announced the release of his seventh studio album Beautiful Rewind which includes the esoteric new single Parallel Jalebi, and won an online battle against Late Night Tales, who released an unauthorized ‘Four Tet Collectors Mix.’ Luckily, our boy retaliated by releasing the mix for free. To darken the horizon, techno sorcerer James Holden will hit the decks, a man who has been enchanting us ever since the Sky Was Pink. Adding to the fun is Berlin-based producer George Fitzgerald, whose experimental garage house sound has recently been signed to the acclaimed Domino label. Finally, JDH + Dave P, the masterminds behind Fixed, will grace the decks to share with us a few tricks they have up their sleeves.

The StageONE season will close out on Saturday, October 12, but not before Mixmag’s ‘2012 DJ of the Year’ blesses us with his magic. Solomun has been redefining European underground house with the driving force of his Diynamic label for much longer than he has been known for his artist name. Joining Solomun will be deep house purveyor and perfecters David August and Metro Area, who offer soulful experimentations of the early club classics with a stand-out DJ setup and live electronic instruments. New York natives Walker & Royce need no introduction as they’re considered staples in Brooklyn’s forever blossoming dance scene, so we’ll just say they’re the cherry on the final StageONE cake.

Voted “Best New York City Promoter” by PaperMag, Verboten’s commitment to party excellence continues with a custom designed D&B Audio sound system, in addition to their biggest installation of lights and video yet. Expect massive projection screens, visuals, and sound while gazing at the New York skyline. The events will also feature an assortment of food vendors including Meat House and Brooklyn Wok Shop. Those who care to upgrade their disco wear can stop by our favorite fashionable pop-up shop, Ibiza Love Child.
