Ultra Records To Partner With Simon Cowell’s ‘Ultimate DJ’ Show

Plans have been finalized regarding some of the key players involved in Simon Cowell’s partnership with SFX for the Ultimate DJ contest.

Ultra Records and TV/event production group Done and Dusted have been officially announced as partners with the program that is to be streamed via Yahoo Live. As well, Tumblr has been confirmed as being used as the portal for fan voting.

Regarding the new partnerships, Simon Cowell stated, “I have always been excited to be involved in a show where you have the chance to discover a star. And to do that, I know from experience you need great partners and the rest will follow. We’re excited to be partnering with Patrick Moxey of Ultra Records and Hamish Hamilton of Done and Dusted to bring this series to Yahoo.”

The contestant that wins the Ultimate DJ competition will be granted a performance slot at what is described as a “major electronic music festival,” plus a contract with Sony Records subsidiary Ultra Records.

While word regarding who will be on Ultimate DJ’s judging panel, the criteria for choosing the show’s competitors, or when the competition will air has not been confirmed, it appears that more details regarding this hotly-debated program will now begin to surface.
