HARD Haunted Mansion is back and HARDER than ever. After being in attendance for last year’s festival, I can say without a doubt that it was not only one of the best HARD events I’ve ever been to, but one of the best events I’ve been to, period. Two days (Oct 28 & 29) of a vintage selection of DJs and live acts, two awesome stages at the Shrine Expo, and thousands of crazy, wild ravers dressed up in ridiculous costumes. If that doesn’t sell you right there, then check out the lineup.
On day one of HARD Haunted, we have the return of the legendary Fatboy Slim to Southern California. I can’t even remember the last time this guy played around here, and we’ve got him for Halloween! Dubstep rock star Rusko is another headliner for the event, as well as Laidback Luke. Three others acts I’m especially excited to see are Canadian singer and producer Tiga, BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, and veterans 2ManyDJs. In addition to these giants, there are a slew of other performers that can be seen here.
Saturday brings the noise just as HARD with a nasty dubstep and live act lineup. LessThan3 favorite Skrillex is in the mix as well as the 2ManyDJs live act extension Soulwax. Gives me the chills just thinking about the debauchery that is going to go down. If that wasn’t enough, we’ve got Major Lazer, Skream & Benga, quirky UK DJ Fake Blood, and LA dub favorite 12 Planet. For the rest of the madness, check out HARD’s official website here.
HARD Haunted Mansion 2011 is going to be nothing short of BOOtiful (see what I did there?). Whether you’re planning on going one or two days, you can’t go wrong with either lineup. LessThan3 will be there to make sure you catch the spooktacular highlights if you can’t make it out, but trust me boys and girls, you don’t want to miss this one. Click here to get your tickets. To quote Flying Lotus from last year’s HARD Haunted Mansion, “Happy Halloween, Motherf*ckers!!!!”
