Tomorrowland began revealing its 2014 lineup today, announcing performances from Hardwell, Diplo, and Above & Beyond. However, the previous announcement of the added second weekend might not be as definite.
Despite the company’s typically open relationship and mediation with locals, ID&T may have an uphill battle for its planned second weekend of Tomorrowland this year with opponents headed to court armed with a petition to prevent the “nuisance” from doubling in duration.
Belgian news outlet ATV reports that a lawyer representing the residents of Tomorrowland’s home of Schorre, Boom in Belgium claims that ID&T doesn’t have the necessary permits for a second weekend. No firsthand reports have yet surfaced in English, but from what survives the translation, the imminency of the hearing has prevented any further discussions between ID&T and the opposition as the issue heads straight for a judge. When? That’s unclear. Speak Dutch? Take a whack at the video below, featuring one seemingly disgruntled woman.
Check back soon for a link to buy tickets when they’re on sale Feb. 15 and for more details on weekend two.
