Tiga teamed up with Audion once again for Fever, a hot, sticky tech house affliction sure to become wildly contagious this year.
As the follow-up to ’13’s collaborative effort Let’s Go Dancing, the Turbo Recordings boss linked up with the man also known as Matthew Dear to build a bouncy beat around a sultry vocal sample, which the guys said drove the composition home at 2 a.m. when they finished. The track cultivates an extremely danceable vibe as each bar descends on cascading layers of bass and drums before “WOOO,” we’re brought back to the top for another go. Siren-like synth and distortion add a little vinegar to the honey in the latter portion of the tune, sending it off with some attitude. Plus, super awesome pic of John Travolta before all the Scientology made his hair fall out.
Pick up the original here, out now on Turbo, and keep an eye out for a full remix package April 7, featuring Maetrik, Acid Arab, Tom Trago and Kink.
