Dutch DJ Tiesto was forced to cancel a handful of shows over the weekend after knocking himself out before his set at Electric Bounce House in San Jose, California Friday night.
The 45-year-old producer was making his way onstage when he ran his head into a large LED production screen. Tiesto says he wanted to continue on with the show, but was stopped on doctor’s orders after they concluded he had suffered a concussion.
I had an accident and got a concussion at last night's show. Dr's told me to rest so no show tonight. Thanks for your concern and support!— Tiësto (@tiesto) March 22, 2014
I took that American expression 'go knock yourself out' too literally Friday night in the Bay Area...😵😐 😁— Tiësto (@tiesto) March 24, 2014
The injury also forced Tiesto to cancel his show in Los Angeles the following night. Luckily, L.A. fans weren’t sent home disappointed: Tiesto’s friend and fellow DJ Zedd stepped in to perform in his place alongside Afrojack and DJ Vice.
