The White Flag Is Up
Yoji - Surrender (Nhato Remix) [Hellhouse]
Nhato - Dreamer's Symphony (Original Mix)

Tokyo-based producer Nhato is really becoming a force to be reckoned with in the EDM world. The man is almost single-handedly inventing a new genre of trance that is truly unique. Part of LessThan3 partner label Otographic Music, the 22 year-old is on a destruction path, pumping out remixes and originals at a rapid pace. One of his newer remixes, a take on Yoji’s Surrender, is a quintessential example of the kind of work this guy is producing. It is also one of the most sophisticated trance tracks ever made to this day, criss-crossing genres like it’s absolutely nobody’s business. This track delves into tech trance, melodic trance, hip hop, and even some dubstep–nay, trancestep–all in the same song. Sound ridiculous? It’s not. Just listen.

In other news, recently his track Dreamer’s Symphony was featured on an episode of Corsten’s Countdown–Ferry Corsten’s weekly podcast–so the guy is finally beginning to get some of the recognition he deserves. Support has also come from greats such as Markus Schulz and Gareth Emery, just to name a few. The track features beautiful bells and emotion-packed choral voices. So people–if you dig the tracks we post, hit up the comments. It helps us to know that we’re on target! You’ll be seeing a lot more of Nhato and the rest of the gang on Otographic as we continue to bring you the cream of the crop from our Japanese partners who are simply tearing it up. Enjoy.
