Popular UK boy-band The Wanted just released their newest single I Found You to their unwavering fan-base–a teaser from what will be their forthcoming third album called Over:Sound. While this album may not be on the radar for most EDM fans, the new single happens to feature a storming remix from lauded Ram Records outfit DC Breaks (pictured) and a surprisingly sultry house remix by frequent collaborators Steve Pitron and Max Sanna. The single comes by way of Universal’s Island Records and also features an original video (below).
Hot on the heels of their recent drumstep collab with Bassnectar, Breathless, the drum and bass duo DC Breaks have taken The Wanted’s latest tune and retooled it into a dance floor hand-grenade, replete with the crowd-rocking breaks dnb fans know and love. Alongside the raging breaks, the duo’s remix is filled with proper acid chord stabs, a phase-shifting bass line, and a subtle sprinkling of vocals lifted from the original mix. The house rework of I Found You gets a bit of old school flavor, with a ravey synth lead, a shuffling rhythm, and a liberal amount of the original’s vocals–which blend quite well with the vocal house vibes of this remix.
