Steve Helstrip has made The Thrillseekers name somewhat synonymous with old-school, uplifting trance of late, with a run of classic productions that have a kick of the modern era about them. His latest release is Find You, and it’s more of the same from England’s trance saviour.
Find You is all about the tried-and-true formula that has seen The Thrillseekers name at the forefront of trance for well over a decade. The track is driven by simple little plucks, distant-yet-enveloping pads, and little vocal snippets. Yet Steve manages to keep things up to date as ever, with a subtle energy that should allow Find You to work its way into any number of sets–the catchy riffs lending it well to massive uplifting side of trance, while the subtle nuances of the track lean towards the more progressive side of the genre. And if that wasn’t enough, Ferry Tayle is on the B-side with a no-holds-barred take on the original, pounding and energetic from start to finish.
