Mother’s Day is the day to celebrate the special women in your lives, those who have loved, cared, and supported you over the years… and what better way to show your appreciation than to give them some pounding, four-to-the-floor techno, courtesy of The Technodrome? Nothing says Mother’s Day like a bouquet of flowers and new techno music from Len Faki, Florian Meindl, John Tejada, and more.
Slam – Ghosts Of Cirklon (Len Faki Remix) [Soma]
A living legend in the Berlin techno scene, Len Faki returns with a trippy and ethereal offering that dips and dives through elements of two tracks off Slam’s recent Reverse Proceed LP, Ghosts of Detroit and Cirklon Bells. Much softer than his most well-known productions, his latest is nevertheless an enrapturing experience. Pick it up on Beatport here.
Agents Of Time – Hydra (Original Mix) [Correspondant]
Following up on the success of their debut EP, Polina, Italian trio Agents Of Time return to Correspondant for the three-track Emperor EP. Hydra is a mesmerizingly minimal yet emotional offering through gamboling percussion and a heavy air of theatricality. Hail Hydra. Pick it up on Beatport here.
Florian Meindl – Forget The World (Original Mix) [FLASH]
FLASH label boss Florian Meindl returns with the Collide LP, a deep techno album recorded primarily using analog systems. Forget The World is a dark journey through analog drums, minor chords, and a very personal sound. Pick up the LP on Beatport here.
John Tejada – Code Ext (Original Mix) [Palette]
It’s been a minute since I last copped a track from LA-based maestro John Tejada, but his weird and wonky style has always had a special place in my heart. His latest, Code Ext, is a unique and vibrant blend of warm grooves and haunting undertones. Pick it up on Beatport here.
NERVO – Haute Mess (ANNA Remix) [Ultra]
It’s rare to see a techno release from Ultra, but it’s rarer still to see a techno remix of NERVO. The Australian sisters are best known for the festival-ready big room anthems, but this time their new single gets taken to the underground by Brazilian beatmaker and fellow female producer ANNA. Featuring a forbidding low end and demonic vocal alterations, the remix is a rolling, rumbling rework that has NERVO sounding totally different. Pick it up on Beatport here.
