Rumors abound that Ferry Corsten is set to revive the Gouryella name after a mystery track was unveiled on Aly & Fila’s FSOE show.
Origami is due to be released on Ferry’s own Flashover label, but the artist behind the track is currently “unknown”–and it’s clear the identity of the producer is being kept quiet on purpose. Keen trance fans have pointed out that the track shares a similar sound with the old Gouryella releases, and even the font is like that of Ferry’s long defunct Tsunami label. Although the Gouryella name was originally a group effort between Ferry and Tiesto, there’s no suggestion the duet is being rekindled, as Tijs had already moved on when the last Gouryella track was released in 2002.
Whatever the outcome, it’s clearly a mystery the Flashover crew wanted to get people talking about, and they’ve certainly succeeded. Have a listen yourself, and keep your ears peeled.
