Simply put, progressive breaks deserve far more recognition in the world of beats. Rising through the noise has come Polish house producer and electrical engineering student Jacek Gumbisz. Residing in his hometown of Kielce, the artist produces under the name Monojoke and began his interest in EDM with exposure to Goa and psytrance. However, his passion evolved into an obsession after an introduction to the progressive scene.
Considerably emboldened by the new attention he’s garnered, Monojoke has been pumping out a lot of new tunes, including a touching remix of Character by Timur Shafiev. Blessed with stunning harmony and a wide array of synchronized melodies, this production quite vividly unveils the potential for this style of progressive beats. Another track that encompasses Monojoke’s sound and illustrates his passion for beautiful music is his own emotive version of Kaivalya by Elfsong & Aeron Aether. Lastly, I leave you with his remix of of Antidotum by Kobana & Hatchet. Synchronizing all the right ingredients, Monojoke effortlessly fuses a catchy house piano with a triumphal violin over a chilling bassline to make a fantastic piece of music.
