LessThan3 favorite Flux Pavilion, whom we recently interviewed, is back with a brand new single for 2011. Like many of his other stellar productions–most notably the Gold Dust remix–Flux Pavilion’s songs are not to be fettered with live. That being said, get ready for the Bass Cannon.
The track essentially aims to blast you with a wall of sonic destruction. The xylophone intro might leave you guessing, but not for long. Soon, Bass Cannon fires at full blast, frying you with an ear-melting harmony of rumbling bass and dissonant highs. Classic Flux Pavilion construction results in some of the most acoustically terrifying (and awesome) songs you’ll ever hear dropped live; if you’ve heard Gold Dust or got lucky and caught this one, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, don’t worry, as Flux and friends from Circus Recordings (including Doctor P and Trolley Snatcha) have been confirmed for the summertime Audiotistic 2011 festival in Los Angeles. I wouldn’t miss this one for anything–it’s his time ever playing in the states.
