Welcome back to our series with Beatport known as The Beatport Box, where we bring you the best of Beatport exclusives on a weekly basis. This week, Quintino and FTampa release a Slammer, Nicole Moudaber gives us a new single and remix package, ThermalBear gets moody on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth label, and more.
Deep/Tech | Smash TV – Slayer EP [Hive Audio]
The duo known as Smash TV have always been bubbling under the radar, yet their productions are always hammered by the top names in the underground. We’re huge fans of their music and get a bit giddy whenever we see a new release hit the store. Their latest double header EP, Slayer, continues in the Smash TV tradition of keeping a perfectly planned groove on top of superbly produced music. Grab it here.
Deep/Tech | ThermalBear – Just Too Late For Summer EP [Last Night On Earth]
Summer has officially ended (unless you’re one of the lucky folks in Australia), and the music is heading in a much moodier direction. The latest offering from Sasha’s unstoppable label comes from ThermalBear, and it’s a stunning four-track release that merges the best parts of deep house and tech house with enough melodies and grooves to help ease the end of summer into the start of fall. Pick it up here.
Techno | Nicole Moudaber – The Whippin’ I’m Dishin’ [Mood]
Nicole Moudaber has had one helluva summer, releasing some of the best techno cuts around and playing gigs on every corner of the globe. She continues her techno queen status with her latest single for her Mood imprint, a bangin’ techno odyssey made to destroy everything in sight. Remixes from Gary Beck & Robert Dietz only sweeten the package. Get into it here.
Big Room/Electro | Quintino & FTampa – Slammer (Original Mix) [Spinnin’]
The Netherlands and Brazil unite for one of the biggest big room tracks we’ve heard in a minute. Slammer has a frenetic beat and synth line that is begging for mainstage “droppage.” The track is already supported by Guetta, Hardwell, Sander van Doorn, and more, so if larger-than-life sounds are your think, get this track here.
Trance | Sied van Riel & Standerwick – In A Perfect World (Original Mix) [Subculture]
John O’Callaghan’s Subculture label has become a veritable expert in releasing unique and driving trance, and this certainly applies to In A Perfect World, a collaborative effort between Sied van Riel and Standerwick. We’re thinking a vocal version needs to follow this already-stellar instrumental, but even if that doesn’t come, this track is still a surefire trance hit. Purchase here.
