Techno | Stephan Bodzin & Marc Romboy – Kerberos & Styx [Systematic]
Stephan Bodzin and Marc Romboy teaming up for a release is always very exciting. Their latest collaborative effort, Kerberos & Styx for Systematic, is without a doubt one of the coolest releases to come out this month, and one of our favorite releases ever produced by this duo. Well-thought-out melodies, huge synth lines, and a dark and dingy vibe create an absolutely essential package for anyone who needs a bit of melodic perfection. Get it here.
Techno | John Digweed, Nick Muir & John Twelve Hawks – 3B3 [Bedrock]
Label head honcho and all-around legend John Digweed teams up with his longtime producing partner Nick Muir and the additional talent of John Twelve Hawks for 3B3, an acid banger of epic proportions. Driving techno music with just a touch of progressive house, this masterpiece is made for the sweaty, late-night sessions where the music matters the most. The flip side features a tasty remix from Robert Babicz, who proves his true talent with a stomping acid remake equally as awesome. Purchase here.

Twelve tracks, and each and every one of them are essential. From the deepest house cuts to prime-time techno slammers, the latest compilation from Germany’s Cocoon Recordings imprint is a true school beast. Ripperton, Alan Fitzpatrick, Ricardo Tobar, Sam Paganini, Julian Perez–the list of top-notch talent goes on and on. Techno | Massi Paoli – Boomstick EP [Yin Yang]
I don’t know what’s in the water that the artists and staff at Yin Yang Records are drinking, but whatever it is… we want some. The English label continues to release massive techno releases one right after the other, with one of the latest being Massi Paoli’s Boomstick EP. Every song on this five-track is massive, including three originals and two remixes. Hold on to your hats, and get Boomstick here.
Electro | Kid Arkade – Atlas Run (Original Mix) [Ultra]
Not much is known about newcomer Kid Arkade, but an inaugural release on Ultra should be enough reason to pay attention. Atlas Run has elements of video game melodies, deadmau5-esque synths, and hard electro, but overall, it is a refreshingly musical oasis in the vast desert of cookie-cutter electro drops available these days. Grab it here.
