We’re getting deep and dark this week on our series with Beatport known as The Beatport Box, where we bring you the best in Beatport exclusives. This time, we invite you to go deep with the Innervisions crew, check the latest from Dusky, and give a listen to the latest from the elusive Sander Kleinenberg.
Deep/Tech | Various Artists – Secret Weapons Pt. 6 [Innervisions]
It’s rare that a release will boast five tracks of absolute perfection, but we’re pretty confident in saying the latest EP from Innervisions is just that. Melodies, incredible production, unique production aesthetic–each track on this Secret Weapons EP is a winner. One for the deeper and more discerning dancefloors, but a future classic you should all hear. Purchase here.
Deep/Tech | Dusky – Love Taking Over EP [17 Steps]
A true success story in recent times, the deep house duo known as Dusky has dominated the charts with a slew of #1 hits, single handedly pushing the deeper side of tech house into the mainstream. In an effort to raise their profile even higher, the guys have kicked off their brand new label, 17 Steps, with a triple header of A-side rockers merging futuristic house music and punchy grooves. Feel the love here.
House | Mark Knight – Bullets Vol. 3 [Toolroom]
Mark Knight returns with his renowned Bullets EP series, and brings a few friends along with him. The two-track EP features A-side In & Out and B-side The Diary Of A Studio 54 DJ, the latter of which features Discoworker and legendary DJ Robbie Leslie. Pure, unadulterated, disco-influenced house music is what you can expect to hear on each of these tracks, but what else would you expect from Mr. Knight? Get it here.
House/Nu Disco | Sander Kleinenberg – We-R-Superstars (Original Mix) [Spinnin’]
Sander Kleinenberg–that’s a name that we’ve not seen for quite awhile. The Dutch king of progressive house has returned with a truly different sound, both for himself and for the usual big room flair of Spinnin’ Records. A disco house single made with summer-vibes in mind, We-R-Superstars is a guaranteed floor filler, and a pleasant surprise from both the label and the returning artist. Grab it here.
Big Room/Electro | Apster & Ariyan – Drum It (Original Mix) [Wall]
Send in the drums! Wall Recordings mainstay Apster and Canadian producer Ariyan have teamed up for a track with big synths and even bigger percussion. Tracks like this are always a welcome respite from big electro drops in mainstage sets, so big room DJs, throw this one in and spice things up a bit. Pick it up here.
