There’s a lot of energy packed into this edition of our series with Beatport known as The Beatport Box, where we bring you the best in Beatport exclusives on a weekly basis. This week we’ve got the highly anticipated return of Oxia, plus new big room bangers from Nom De Strip and Wiwek, Tommy Trash, Otto Knows, and more. Put your rage face on.
Deep/Tech | Oxia – Perception EP [Saved]
It’s been a minute since we’ve seen any new output from French techno leader Oxia, but the wait has been more than worth it. This time appearing on Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records imprint, Oxia delivers Perception, a two-track release crammed full of percussive, party-rocking goodness. A perfect blend between the techier sides of house and techno, both tracks are essential for those underground-leaning jocks. Pick up Perception here.
Big Room/Electro | Otto Knows – Parachute (Original Mix) [Refune]
Huge track alert! Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Records imprint has struck gold with their latest offering, a vocal bomb called Parachute from Otto Knows. Already boasting huge support from David Guetta and Nicky Romero and over 40k plays on SoundCloud in just 3 days, we’re pretty confident this single is going to be a big time summer festival anthem–but we’ll let you decide for yourself. Check it out now.
Big Room/Electro | Nom De Strip & Wiwek – Annihilation (Original Mix) [Rising]
With names like Nom De Strip and Wiwek on a track, you know it’s going to be full of heavy tribal chants and rhythms with a techy electro undertone. Annihilation, out now on Chris Lake’s Rising Music, is a surefire move by both of these producers to continue to put their names on the house music map, and it should work out quite well for them. Get annihilated here.
Big Room/Electro | Sultan & Ned Shepard vs John Dish – Renegade Master (Back Once Again) [Musical Freedom]
Those who have been around the scene for awhile will recognize this familiar Renegade Master vocal, which has graced many genres and styles in the dance music world. Now with a huge update, Sultan & Ned Shepard and John Dish provide a new home for the vocal sample over a beast of a track, complete with big peaks and valleys–the perfect ingredients for a prime time bomb. Grab the track here.
Big Room/Electro | Tommy Trash – Lord Of The Trance (Original Mix) [Hysteria]
Though not definitively a trance track, Tommy Trash’s Lord Of The Trance is a step in the right direction for the prolific producer. We’re loving the drop in this one, which sits somewhere between tweaked-out booty bass and big room electro. Here’s hoping the originality streak continues for Mr. Trash on his subsequent releases. Purchase the track here.
