The Technodrome, LessThan3’s weekly dose of the best new techno music, is celebrating its Sweet Sixteen. Don’t let the eye-burning pink cover image fool you, though; to celebrate, we’re throwing a party with dank selections from Adam Beyer, Julian Jeweil, dubspeeka, and more. Let’s go!
Adam Beyer – Time Flies (Original Mix) [Truesoul]
Drumcode boss and all-around techno titan Adam Beyer takes a step in a different direction with the Time Flies EP, a four-track collection of funky, tech house productions out now on Truesoul. The title track is a chunky little number that still features one of Beyer’s deep, signature melodies, but is a track much more suited for the daytime than the darkness of an afterhours club. Pick it up on Beatport here.
Julian Jeweil – Concept (Original Mix) [Minus]
The maestro of Minus returns with the five-track Bird EP, a smorgasbord of pumping, pounding, peak-time techno. His ability to blend the mechanical with the melodic continues to make him one of the hottest producers in the genre. Pick it up on Beatport here.
Andre Crom & Chi Thanh – Freedom Call feat. Jinadu (dubspeeka Remix) [Off]
dubspeeka does what he does best on this remix, dipping Andre Crom and Chi Thans’ original into a deep, dubby, techno coating and sprinkling the vocals with his magic wand for a spellbinding journey. I’m embarrassed to admit that I almost missed this one, but it might just be my favorite tune of the week. Pure magic. Pick it up on Beatport here.
Alan Fitzpatrick – Love Siren (Original Mix) [Drumcode]
Alan Fitz makes his explosive return to Drumcode with the new U Said U EP. The booming, big room techno meal is class all the way through, with the title track just one of three delectable treats awaiting fans. U Said U currently sits at #1 on the Beatport Top 100 Techno chart for a reason–it’s a festival-ready bomb filled with all the builds and drops required to slay the masses of underground fans. Pick it up on Beatport here.
Lakosa & Rick Grant – Dusk (Original Mix) [20/20 Vision]
Lakosa and Rick Grant make their 20/20 Vision debut with the Dusk EP. The title track is a deliciously deep tune that offers a carefree romp through groovy vocal samples and stripped-down percussion. With a name like Dusk, this is the perfect song to drop as the sun goes down. Pick it up on Beatport here.
