Proving that the legendary Whitney Houston is gone but not forgotten, veteran duo Sultan & Ned Shepard craft a banging house stomper around the vocals of her 1998 Best Female R&B Performance Grammy-winner It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay.
The bassline here is a dubby, four-on-the-floor winner that is heavy and smooth. When the piano breakdown occurs, the track gets a slight shift in energy as well, but in all actuality, the production is more a showcase for Houston’s vocal than anything else. With regard to the remix choice, the LA-based duo said that “they have always been inspired by [Houston’s] music,” and this track showcases that well.
