Over a year and a half ago I discovered a young artist from Japan named Nhato, and every single song I have heard the man produce ever since that day has been one of my favorite tracks ever made. Part of what makes Nhato so great is his attention to detail and relentless innovative spirit and the consistency in which he delivers high quality music. Hell, the guy has practically single-handedly invented his own genre of trance. So what does he have in store for us today?
Nhato’s latest entry is a remix of Protoculture’s Liquid Logic, yet another complete reinterpretation of an original track with the usual attention to detail and innovative production that we’ve come to see time and time again. The track’s opening exposes the listener to a raw psytrance bassline followed by a well-crafted buildup, but it’s not until the first drop hits that you’re aware you’re in for something different here. The next major portion of the song is an uplifting proggy wonder filled with dreamy pads and beautifully layered high elements before the next drop pulls it back into dirty tech territory, with incredibly danceable rhythms that also give it a latin flair. Very impressive work. Definitely keep your eye on him, as he is quickly ascending in the trance world, with this track and others being picked up by top labels including Armada’s own imprint label Re*Brand.
