To my surprise, veteran house producer Solee seems to be the best stateside secret these days, but that is all subject to change as the distinguished musician’s latest release, Night Shift seems to be constantly rising on today’s charts. The release presents a collection of Solee’s tracks from the past several years, spanning from classics like Ice, a techy, progressive track that speaks through uplifting arctic synths and monstous beats, to Dany Holm’s remix of Jule, an incredible tech house tune that was the result of a recent Solee remix competition. The buildup and drop at four minutes in would drive a club wild!
It’s nothing short of fascinating when you stumble upon world class talent that has manages to slip under the radar for so long. Solee’s Night Shift acts as a compilation of his work and is chock full of lush, intricate tunes. From the album’s wonderful opening track, Oasis, to just about any of the remixes Solee has graced us with over the years, this album is a must-have for any progressive or tech house fan.
