This morning, the talk of the town finally reared its beautiful head. Fan favorites Swedish House Mafia are back with a huge new track, Save The World (Tonight).
After its debut at the Masquerade Motel in Miami and on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show, there’s an incredible amount of hype surrounding this release. And finally, it’s here for your listening pleasure. Axwell, Angello, and Ingrosso are back in the game and have crafted a beautiful symphony of house to bedazzle the ears. This six-minute saga starts off with nothing but drums. The essentials. Drop in a poppy piano riff and a glitchy drum kit, and you’re immersed in a track of immense proportions. Up-and-coming Swedish artist John Martin provides the Coldplay/Kings of Leon-esque vocal that accompanies a very forceful piano breakdown, building up to one of the most epic drops to date from this triumvirate.
You’ll be hearing this song everywhere this summer, from EDC to HARD Music Festival and Tomorrowland, where they have recently been announced as a headliner (2010 DVD trailer below). This crossover trance-house-indie-pop banger is going to have audiences reeling for months to come.
