Electronic music holding company SFX Entertainment expanded its reach into the artist management and marketing realms with three new acquisitions.
The company’s latest pickups include artist management group TMWRK, creative services provider The Meta Agency, and digital marketing firm Learned Evolution. TMWRK is already handling management duties on such artists as Diplo, Claude VonStroke, Dillon Francis, and others, and will serve as the management and career development arm of SFX’ newly expanded in-house marketing platform FX-1. Sister companies TMA and Learned Evolution will provide creative assets and marketing solutions, respectively.
A press release from SFX explains the move as a means of further connecting the fans of “EMC,” the acronym used by SFX to describe “electronic music culture.” These three new additions should serve to round out the sphere of influence of the previously live event-focused company and make it a major player in the artist management field.
Dancing Astronaut reports that SFX has also named a new President in former CollegeHumor CEO Paul Greenberg, citing a March 21 SEC filing. Greenberg captained the viral content outlet beginning in 2010 and has also held positions at MTV, TV Guide, and Media Net.
