Attention, ladies and gentlemen: Chris Lake is in the building with a brand new bomb. Colours, his new collaboration with Nelski, is the typical quality we’re all used to from Lake but with a totally new sound that is irresistibly get-down. Get psyched for some Faithless-style vocals and an incredibly clean and detailed mix served up with a hearty helping of groove. 4:12 also marks a nice departure from the rest of the track with a vocal bridge that gives the track its title.
So who is this Nelski guy? It’s not surprising that you may not recognize the name, given that he has risen from obscurity to international recognition in under a year. What is surprising, however, is that in the last nine months he has had music featured on over thirty compilations worldwide. Quite the feat. And if that weren’t enough, he has received Mark Knight’s blessing: “As soon as you hear a track, you can tell if someone has got ‘it’. Nelski has got ‘it’ in abundance. If I was a betting man, I would put my money on Nelski–he is about to blow!”
