If EDM is the music of the gods, that must make Mux Mool demigod-esque. His signature trip-hop sound speaks for itself, shying away from repetitive loops and the same old flow in lieu of a more melody-driven and flavorful feel. Mux released Planet High School in February, and since then, it’s garnered acclaim throughout the vastness of the Internets and beyond.
Planet High School marks something of an evolutionary step for Mux Mool. Before, his music was good. Now, its Mux plus! Take Night Court for example–classic Mool. The new Mux Mool takes that sound, and kicks it up a notch by adding layers of acoustic evolution to it. Off the new album, Ruin Everything does the opposite of what the name implies–whatever you listen to it to will almost certainly be better, because the track’s so fun! I also especially liked Hand On The Scantron, which really captures the essence of the release.
