San Francisco’s The Schmidt gracefully bridges the gap between late ’90s house and deep house in his latest single Summer of 98.
Coming off of big performances at SXSW and Snowglobe, The Schmidt experiments with deep sounds and synthesized vocals on his most recent release. Classic ’90s house vibes, including a killer piano riff, are combined with deep synths and wubs that should feel right at home to fans of producers like Jack Beats and AC Slater. The Schmidt’s punchy drums help to insure the song’s energy level stays high throughout, making for a solid deep house track to add to any collection.
