Riding the heels of its highly lucrative inaugural event series, New York’s hottest new underground nightlife fixture Sankeys will curate two massive club nights to kick-off the winter season.
Beginning December 7th, UK-based Supernature gurus Audiofly introduce their internationally sanctioned Flying Circus concept, alongside M.A.N.D.Y.’s Philipp Jung and Endless label founder Luca Bacchetti. Roughly seven years in the running, the scene’s most elaborate deep house circus act has previously touched down in all corners of the globe, from Russia to Mexico, representing the brightest talents from each of the musical subgenres.
The following week, Europe’s legendary Cocoon brand makes its long-awaited North American landfall on Dec. 13. Although the label’s notorious overseer Sven Väth has regretfully eluded the bill, the jungle-themed showcase will feature co-headlining performances from French minimal-techno luminary Popof, as well as Circo Loco resident DJ W!ld, and Cocoon staple artist Markus Fix. In proper underground tradition, Sankeys has enlisted BlkMarket Membership residents Taimur & Fahad for supporting duties, joining Italian DJ Simon Wish in the low-ceiling basement room.
To whet New Yorkers’ incessant techno appetites, Cocoon recently released a brief teaser-trailer for their upcoming stateside installment. Judging from the tantalizing audio-visual preview (featuring wild jungle motifs), clubgoers can expect to witness the brand’s signature raw-music attitude–on par with Ibiza’s longstanding Cocoon legacy. Check the trailer out below.
Don’t miss out on either of Sankeys’ exciting new parties as their underground electronic music success story continues to unfold amidst its Manhattan backdrop. Be sure to snatch up presale tickets right here before they run out.
