I might just have to write in Sander van Doorn in on the ballot this November after his presidential performance on January 27th at the hottest new club in Las Vegas, Marquee. The dutch maestro put on a very impressive show, spinning the latest and greatest beats on a professionally mastered surround sound system while girls in Trojan garb danced in sync before a wild crowd. He really left quite an impact on the audience by seamlessly integrating big room trouse with riveting tech trance and pounding electro house.
Sander kicked off the classy Friday night party with his new emotionally driven hit What Did I Do. This track is undoubtedly his catchiest since Love Is Darkness and really taps in to feelings we can all relate to. He also rocked the best from his latest album Eleve11 including club destroyers like Slap My Pitch Up, Who’s Wearing The Cap with Laidback Luke, and Drink To Get Drunk with Sia. There was also a powerfully epic moment when the enormous disco-ball lowered itself to just above the crowd and Sander dropped the Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano remake of the Tiesto classic Lethal Industry. It’s not easy to earn a residency at Marquee, but Sander van Doorn has certainly earned his.
