Last Spring, EDM newcomer Ryeland burst on to the scene with his impressive first EP, Monsters in Elektron City. An amalgamation of influences such as Skrillex, Feed Me, and Mord Fustang, Ryeland has a little something for everyone — chopped vocals, angelic synth work, emotional melodies, huge drops, and big bass.
His newest track is a superb remix of Leave Me Now by Michael Canitrot. He combines elements of big-room house and dubstep to make a powerful and uplifting piece of complextro. Luvu is a rollercoaster that touches upon every aspect of complextro — comparisons to Savant can definitely be made here. It’s both hard-hitting and emotionally investing and the kind of music that is just so much fun to listen to. He plans to release a new EP in early 2013, so keep your eyes and ears open and check out his Soundcloud for more.
