Rudimental’s Midas Touch

Recently hitting the top spot on the UK singles chart, meteoric D&B super-group Rudimental follows up on their break-through hit Feel the Love with another compelling anthem entitled Not Giving In. Out on Warner Music UK on November 18th, Not Giving In is a gratifying emotional journey, filled with moments of despondence, defiance, and strength. The group’s penchant for blending electronic sounds with live instrumentation is on full display here–combining pianos, brass, organs, and a rousing, synthesized bass line.

Returning for a second time is the enigmatic UK R&B singer John Newman, whose evocative vocals jibe gracefully with Rudimental’s latest emotive composition. Newman’s heartfelt performance on Not Giving In is reminiscent of the late, great southern soul singer Otis Redding. Also featured on the track is singer/songwriter Alex Clare of Too Close fame. Clare’s sensuous, yet resolute vocal perfectly matches the unshakeable emotional tone of Not Giving In. Together, the two singers deliver a harmoniously inspired performance.

Not Giving In is available for pre-order on iTunes with remixes from Bondax, Loadstar, and a Rudimental live rendition. The official video (below) is just as emotionally charged as the tune itself, depicting the life of two brothers in the projects of Manila.
