In our throwaway world of dance music, hit songs have a shelf life of a few months at best, and very few house producers are able to stay at the top of the game for a long period of time. One veteran who has managed this feat is Roger Sanchez, who is once again punching his way back onto countless tracklists with his latest work Remember Me.
Central to the track is a vocal by British singer Stealth–coincidentally the same name as Roger’s label–who helps the track straddle the mainstream while remaining resolutely underground. A simple, repeating vocal hook is something Sanchez is a master of–his 2001 smash Another Chance took the idea to the top of the charts in various countries–and it seems to be working again here. With support from a multitude of big names, major radio play, and appearances in pretty much every house set doing the rounds online right now, this one is going to be utterly enormous.
Remember Me is out now on Sanchez’ Stealth imprint, so get your copy here.
