London-based producer Richard Knott just put the entire progressive house world on notice with his new single, Mantra.
Right from the get-go Mantra ensnares the listener with a striking snare drum and a mystifying oriental vocal hook. What follows is an entrancing journey that should draw heavy comparisons to Knott’s idol and all-around progressive house deity Eric Prydz. The lead synth riff is gorgeous, the arpeggios airy, and the bassline so funktastic, it’s almost beyond belief. Put simply, this is pristine progressive house of the highest calibre.
