About three months ago, Congorock and Stereo Massive released the Reggae-influenced song Bless Di Nation featuring the vocals of dancehall star Sean Paul (pictured). It was a decent track, but ultimately forgettable. A motley crew of hot names in EDM decided to fix that, and what we have here is something else entirely. Get ready to start dancing, because this remix pack is massive with a capital M.
Pick your personal poison here, because this remix pack has it all. My personal favorite is from rising star Clockwork. He improves on the original in virtually every way–catchy stutters of Sean Paul’s vocals, snare drums, and an earth-shaking and infectious drop make this a unique and memorable remix. Dutch duo Firebeatz continue their trend of putting out big-time electro bangers with a remix that is nothing short of facemelting (just wait until that second build-up hits). It’s growling and gritty and adds some much-needed teeth to the original. Miami-based GTA serves up an explosive dubstep remix, turning the track upside down, sideways, and everything in between. My hometown Toronto natives Torro Torro and LA-based Valentino Khan both put forth two very different Dutch house remixes, and rounding out the group is a grimy trap remix by Ookay. Go and grab them now on Beatport and prepare to Bless Di Nation.
