I have to confess, I’ve been long overdue on attending Lure Hollywood. Last Thursday was my first time there, and I was overwhelmed by the sheer mayhem. The party I attended was headlined by none other than Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, who just hit #6 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll. The sound in the venue was intense, the go-go girls were gorgeous, and the lively crowd had mountains of energy all night long.
When I got there, Brazzabelle had a beautiful smile on her face and had everyone on the dancefloor bouncing off their toes (pictured below). I heard great things about her before, and finally got to see her mix in action. I got especially turnt up by her unexpected transitions into trap tracks.
Following Brazzabelle, the kings of Tomorrowland, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, stepped up to the stage and got a lot of love from the ecstatic crowd (pictured below). This was a big night for Lure because LA doesn’t often see these headliners playing at more intimate club venues. Everyone showed their appreciation for these big room titans with roars of excitement and arms held high.
Just as I hoped, the Belgian superstars dealt out no mercy. The volume got super loud at this point as they pulverized the building with their atomic bangers like Wakanda, Mammoth, and Madness. They also premiered some new tracks like their latest on Smash The House, G.I.P.S.Y., and an as-yet-unnamed collab with Martin Garrix. The champagne showers were flying high at this point
I very much look forward to attending another Luresday event, particularly their Private Label events on Friday nights. This week they’re having Don Diablo and French Express events on Halloween, and on Friday Nov. 1 they’ll host a Purity Ring DJ set.
