New York-based duo The Chainsmokers were undoubtedly one of the biggest breakout acts of last year. Now, they take on remix duties for a fellow 2014 success story, reworking UK outfit Clean Bandit’s latest single, Real Love.
While Drew Taggart and Alex Pall are perhaps best known for their big room hits, their remixes often delve into the softer side of dance music, as is the case with Real Love. The Chainsmokers transform Clean Bandit’s upbeat anthem into a downtempo production filled with traces of house, trap, pop, and more. According to Pall and Taggart, its a style that the two are “really into”, so be on the lookout for similar downtempo projects from the duo in the future.
The Chainsmokers’ remix of Real Love is set to be released through Beatport Jan. 26 and will be available to download on iTunes Feb. 10.
