RackNRuin Spreads Love
RackNRuin - Mark Two (Original Mix) [Black Butter]

Black Butter Records has just released the fourth installment of their download-for-free Spread Love series featuring genre-bending, North London producer RackNRuin. For those unfamiliar with the series, it’s showcased several artists from Black Butter’s stellar roster, including 2012’s iTunes Song of the Year producer Kidnap Kid. The latest episode sees RackNRuin bring a dark and esoteric house vibe by way of two tunes entitled Mark Two and Hackney Heat. Both tunes are available to download for free in 192kbps format on Black Butter’s SoundCloud page, with the 320kbps available for purchase on the forthcoming Spread Love compilations.

Both Mark Two and Hackney Heat are brimming with effortless groove–a testament to RackNRuin’s unforced production style. For Mark Two, RNR lays down a cryptic, acid-styled bassline with woozy vocal sample delicately dusted on the downbeats. The deliberate, shuffled rhythm underscores Mark Two’s undeniable gravitas, capable of luring the most inhibited wallflower onto the dancefloor. Make sure to check out the rest of the Spread Love series on Black Butter’s Tumblr page, all available to download free of charge.
