It hasn’t even been a month and we’re already posting about Zomboy again. What can I say–he’s an incredibly talented artist with incredibly wicked basslines, and there’s no getting around the fact that he’s about to take dubstep by storm with his newest EP Game Time.
The title track is a drumstep gem, with awesome melodic elements as well as Skrillex style synths that you can hear throughout the track along with a sweet breakstep section. Zomboy has certainly championed the “brostep” style, taking elements of dnb and morphing them into a hybrid of heavy dubstep and trancey melodies–everything you need for one of today’s hard-hitting dubstep tracks. Also included in this post is Pump It Up, a solid track that has some crazy drop synths that pull your stomach down right along with ‘em with the right amplification. Expert microsampling and chopping of vocals along with a forceful piano line add to the track’s unique flavor.
