Scour the internet for Erick Strong, and you’re bound to discover very little. The guy hails from Russia, has a lot of production talent, and well, that’s about it. But while he’s still an unknown, Strong’s had more than a few tracks receive a lot of attention over the past year. From podcasts to dancefloors, you’re bound to run across one of his tracks at a festival, like tech trance hit Monster.
Always haunting and moving, Erick’s melodies have yet to fail our strong impressions (yes, poor pun indeed). Since his impressive double-showcasing on Sander van Doorn’s Dusk Till Doorn compilation, the artist has released two more fresh tracks that are sure to please. Rainfall is more mellow, and has a somewhat foreboding sound to it . Stars is more upbeat and trancey of the two tracks, with a buzzy bassline and infectious melody. I’ve also included a slightly older track of Strong’s called Italian, which is more piano-driven and also dark in quality like Rainfall. Perhaps some time soon will learn more about this mysterious fellow. Until then, enjoy the fruits of his labor.
