After years of successfully hosting concerts and events in his home state of Colorado, Derek Smith, aka Pretty Lights, has announced a new two-day event in the majestic town of Telluride.
The mini festival will take place Aug. 28-29 in Telluride Town Park and feature many of the same amenities that major, three-day festivals provide. Smith is offering both general admission and VIP tickets as well as on-site camping. Other artists are scheduled to perform, but the details are still under wraps. Smith said he chose Telluride for its “energy” and ability to bring people together.
”I’ve thought a lot about what a perfect place to throw a Pretty Lights concert might be, and what that actually means. I think that Telluride Town Park might be a place like that. The energy that resonates there is beyond the cusp of my own understanding but it is powerful and undeniable. I think that the seclusion of Telluride creates a real opening to focus on getting in touch…with each other, ourselves, and the vibrations we experience as music, light, and life.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 27 and can be ordered here.
